It is really amazing how time moves so inexorably and quickly forward… here we are, half-way through February 2009 and hurtling headlong toward 2010 – ALREADY!! But first, before getting all that way into this particular century, we here in Zihuatanejo, Mexico are going to have the pleasure and joy of experiencing yet another wonderful week full of excellent guitar music as the 6th Annual Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival unfolds from March 22 – 29, 2009 – don’t forget it!
The Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival began in 2004. Over the course of the past 5 years, our town has had the fortune to have welcomed an enormous range of international musicians who’ve played their hearts out and, from their own feedback, been blown away by the opportunity they’ve had in participating in this local festival, getting to know Zihuatanejo and our beautiful beaches, and helping to stimulate music appreciation and culture in our community, to kids and grownups alike.
Zihua Guitar Fest A.C. has recently announced the musicians lineup for this year, and has published a few videos that will give you a good idea of the kind of music and fun to expect during GuitarFest week this year…
