The Ixtapa Rotary club, with the support of the municipality, has organized a gala showing of the Mexican movie Espiral, with the appearance of native Zihuatanejo actress Xochiquetzatl Gabriela Rodriguez, at Cinema Flamingo in Ixtapa. This showing is a fundraiser in benefit of Asilo de Ancianos “Maria Auxiliadora” – an old folks home and shelter located in the La Noria neighborhood of Zihuatanejo.
The storyline of the movie addresses the problems confronted by family members of migrant workers who stay at home in Mexico while the family heads are off working across the border.
The Premiere presentation timetable and details are the following:
Wednesday, October 28
21:00 – 21:40 hs (9 – 9:40 pm): Cine Flamingo. Introductory cocktail prior to the showing, giving the public a chance to chat with the director and members of the cast.
The cocktail will be followed by the presentation of the film.
Cost of the event: $150 pesos per person.
On Thursday, October 29 there will be a showing at Cinema Paraiso in downtown Zihuatanejo at more accessible prices for the general public and students.
