This weekend, December 5 and 6, is the Rucco Surf contest at Playa Linda, put together by Catcha L’Ola Surf Shop in coordination with the Liga Municipal de Surf de Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, A.C. (Municipal Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Surfing League), the Instituto del Deporte de Guerrero (Guerrero Sports Institute) and La Asociacion de Surf del Estado de Guerrero, A.C. (the State of Guerrero Surfing Association).
Rucco Surfer 2009 Contest
Here are the guidelines and requirements for surfers who’d like to participate:
Place and Time: The tournament takes place on December 5th and 6th, 2009
Participants must sign up at Catcha L’ola Surf Shop in Ixtapa on or before Friday December 4th, 2009, and must fall within the following age categories:
Rucco Category:
41-48 years
49-56 years
57 years and older
Women’s Category
Open
Long Board Category
Open
The tournament follows the Federación Mexicana de Surfing, A.C. (Mexican Surfing Federation), under the aegis of the ISA.
Participation is subject to an inscription fee of $200 pesos per competitor per category.
