The 11th annual Taxco Book Fair (Feria del Libro) is underway in Parque Vicente Guerrero, Taxco de Alarcon, Guerrero, and will be attracting booklovers and dealers to lovely, colonial Taxco between November 27th through December 9th, 2009. The fair features book releases, workshops, story-tellings and book sales, as well as children’s theatrical workshops and presentations which include shadow plays and a workshop of indigenous stories and legends.
Entry to the fair activities is free. Among the 25 independent booksellers and editorial houses exhibiting releases are Editores Mexicanos Unidos, Epoca, Euromexico, Grupo Cultural Artes y Oficios, Libros Raros y Antiguos, and Gas Libros. Taxco is located in the interior of the state of Guerrero, Mexico, 170 km to the southwest of Mexico City.
