Author Carole Stone will be presenting and reading from her newest poetry book, Lime and Salt–a collection of poems about Mexico–on Monday, January 16, 2012 at El Manglar Restaurant on Playa la Ropa, starting at 6 p.m.
Carole Stone, Professor of English at Montclair State University, has received three Fellowships from The New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a Fellowship from Hawthornden Writers Retreat and Rothermere American Institute, Oxford University, England. She has published five chapbooks of poetry and her poems appear in numerous journals such as The Beloit Poetry Journal, Chelsea, Nimrod, Orbis (UK), Smiths Knoll (UK).

El Manglar Restaurant and RV park is located across the La Ropa estuary from Casa del Mar, and is accessible via the beach access next to El Pirata Restaurant. It offers a great selection of well-prepared seafood dishes (and is reputed to have one of the best fish burgers in town) as well as some of the best fresh salads you can find in this area.
