CHALLENGES OF THE GOLF COURSE
MARINA IXTAPA

Hole 1:  Par 5.  Has good birdie potential with a good tee shot. A bad shot to the right will make it hard for a double bogey.

Hole 4: Par 4.  The drive needs to be exact.  There is water on the right side and sand traps on the left side.  The approach shot is a challenge to the greens.

Hole 9:  Par 4.   A challenging hole with water on the left and sand traps on the right.  To hit the green in regulation requires an approach shot along the lake that is home to crocodiles.  (They do not eat golfers; they like to observe the game.  So, bring a camera!)

Hole 12:  Par 4.  A long dog leg right.  Outside limits to the left and forest to the right, makes this hole difficult.  The approach shot to the green is severely surrounded by sand.

Hole 16:  Par 4.  A long Par 4 that curves sharply to the left with water running from tee to green on the left side.  A very difficult hole with a handicap of 1.

Hole 17:  Par 3.  150 yards of water to the green completely surrounded by sand and moguls.

Hole 18:  Par 5.  Known as “the hole of the Devil” is 609 yards long.  It is one of the more difficult Par 5s that you will play.  It has water off the tee on the left and a series of sand traps on the right.  Your fairway shot has to be perfect to par this hole.  The green is surrounded by more water on the left side and sand on the right.  A par is truly something surprising here
