Troncones and Majahua Hotels and Lodging

Troncones is one of the better-known beach communities outside of the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo area, located at about a one-half hour drive north along Federal coastal highway 200. The turnoff to the beach from the highway is located just past the Km 30 marker.

Composed of a great variety of bed and breakfasts, inns, rental villas, bungalows and hotels, Troncones Beach offers several excellent dining facilities and a number of beach and land sports opportunities. The long stretches of white-sanded beach punctuated with a few rocky outcroppings,a couple of small bays with spectacular waves make for wonderful opportunities for activities such as beachcombing, boogie boarding, bird watching and surfing. The Majahua beach community is located just to the north of Troncones beach itself, past Manzanillo Bay surfing point.

Vacation rentals are found a-plenty in Troncones Beach - it has evolved into a beachcomber and surfer heaven, lined with bed and breakfasts and small inns that seem to be competing with eachother for quaintness and charm.

The community has grown up tremendously in the past few years and there are a number of great restaurants, interspersed along the length of this long Pacific-washed stretch of beach, specializing in fresh fish and seafood as well as Mexican and international dishes.
