Coming up SOON is the 6th annual Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival 2010, with fabulous music events being held in both Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa, Mexico. Revista Sociable has organized a second Rock and Reggae concert to be held in Zihuatanejo on July 31st, 2009 at Bar Revolucion 1910 located on Nicolas Bravo in centro Zihuatanejo. Music starts at 9 p.m. and the event will feature the reggae sounds of La Yaga out of Guadalajara, as well as local rock bands La [...] Mexico City is hosting the 6th Annual African Drum and Cultures Festival, subtitled “A Reencounter with our African Diaspora”, from March 14th through the 22nd, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Federal District and Festival del Tambor y la Cultura Africana, A.C. This past Friday, we attended the “Taste of Zihuatanejo”, hosted by a local restaurant association with the participation of several Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa restaurants… It is really amazing how time moves so inexorably and quickly forward… here we are, half-way through February 2009 and hurtling headlong toward 2010 – ALREADY!!
