Angelo's Pizzas and Pasta (Piazza d'Angelo) - Located on Agustin Ramirez, just down from the entrance to Coconut's Restaurant, this is a small, open-air locale where Angelo works wonders with his Italian sauces and specialties every afternoon and evening. Antelia - Traditional inexpensive Mexican Food, Great Pozole (traditional hominy soup), tacos, chicken and other regional dishes at the corner of Nicolas Bravo and Carlos Pellicer.

Cafe Marina - Pasta, pizza, sandwiches and luscious homemade daily specials including Meatloaf and Roast Beef. Fabulous pastas and salads. Close to the Basketball court in the Embarcadero complex, with book exchange. Closed during summer season.

Casa Elvira - Excellent seafood - one of Zihuatanejo's oldest restaurants located on Paseo del Pescador (Fisherman's Walk) along the municipal beach in downtown Zihuatanejo.  Tel. (755) 554-2061.

Daniels Restaurant - Located on Fisherman's Walk in downtown Zihuatanejo, beachfront restaurant offers seafood, Mexican and International dishes as well as music nightly during the winter season. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 10 am to 10 pm. Tel. (755) 554-2158

Don Memo's Italian Restaurant - Memos' pastas and italian specialties are the favorites of many; located on Pedro Asencio (one of the mainly pedestrian streets in the downtown core of Zihua). Memo also runs El Campanario, on the corner of Agustin Ramirez across from the entrance to Coconut's, where live music can often be enjoyed.

Dona Prudencia - Beachfront Mexican and Seafood in the Villas Mexicana Hotel on Playa la Ropa, between the crafts market and Paty's Mar y Mar.  Tel. (755) 554-3636

El Manglar - Offers some unusual and delicious taste combinations and seafood specialties; somewhat hideen away next to the Crocodile Estuary near the end of Playa La Ropa, but very well worth searching out. Sunset Bar - A sports bar on Playa Municipal just down from Casa Arcadia. Several TVs, nice views of the beach and passersby, often some live music going on. Good bar food such as fish 'n' chips and guacamole as well as more substantial dishes. Kitchen can be a bit slow.

Tamales y Atoles Any - Very Traditional Regional Mexican restaurant with traditional Dancing Troop on Thursdays. Corner of Ejido and Vicente Guerrero.  Tel. 554-7373.

Tata's Restaurant - A standby along Fisherman's Walk; fresh seafood and Mexican cuisine. Located at Hotel Avila, Paseo del Pescado No. 10.

Teosintle - Pozole Restaurant open Thursdays and Saturdays on the Highway in El Hujal. Breakfasts daily with chilaquiles, fresh juices, Mexican style eggs and other breakfast specialties.
