Clothing and Boutiques
Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa, like any touristic resort, offers tons of little shops and stands selling t-shirts, shorts, bathing suits, pareos (sarongs) and other light and airy beachwear. But there are also a lot of other places where you can find the more typical tropical embroidered and unbleached cotton shirts, blouses and dresses; others cater more to the surfer and sportsman with casual shorts and footwear.
In Zihuatanejo, wander through the core area between Benito Juarez (where the municipal market is found) and Av. 5 de Mayo (where the artisan's market is in front of the Church) and you'll be sure to find lots of light, cotton, hot-weather clothing choices.
In Ixtapa, browse the stores in the commercial center across the boulevard from the major hotels along Playa del Palmar for bathing suits, shorts, tropical print shirts, light sundresses and t-shirts. There's also an artisan's market just off the boulevard where certain items of clothing can be found amongst the silver jewellry, painted pottery plates and figurines, hammocks and other souvenirs.

Lupita's Boutique
Comfortable and attractive cotton beachwear, casual and elegant
clothing, as well as accessories such as handmade purses, hats, and
shawls. Located in downtown Zihuatanejo
El Embarcadero, Costa Libre and Metztli
Three shops within the Casa Marina complex at the base of 5 de Mayo street where it meets Juan N. Alvarez, within the building housing the Zihuatanejo animal shelter. These shops carry a variety of beautiful, colorful, woven and hand-embroidered clothing, light cotton wear and accessories.
