Majagua Beach is located north of Troncones. It is accessible via the
Troncones beach road as well as over a dirt road that leads from Lagunillas
over the intervening hills to the beach.
Majagua is a tiny fishing village with few houses, lots of pigs, dogs
and chickens, and a few small restaurants offering simply prepared but
delicious fresh seafood, especially oysters in their shell and Pacific
lobster when in season. It is only a few minutes from Troncones and
Manzanillo Bay.
The beach to the north of town has been slowing building up. It gives onto the open ocean and consists largely of white sand
with small rock outcroppings along its stretch.
At the northern end of Majagua is a rivermouth called La Boca
that for surfers can be fast and fun when the surf is running.
